TABER CHURCH THANKS CDS

The Pastor General of the Baptist Biblical Tabernacle Friends of Central Israel, Dr. Edgar López Bertrand, known as Pastor Toby Jr., thanked CDS for the recognition given to the church on its LX anniversary.

CDS recently completed 60 years of service to the Salvadoran people and in recent years it has been a link with the Friends of Israel Baptist Biblical Tabernacle, to whom ambulance service is provided in the services that it now holds in the building’s facilities. Gamaliel.

CDS maintains its staff and ambulance in the event of any emergency that arises in its assistance clinic, which is enabled in the 5 services attended by more than 500 people in each service.

The Pastor General Dr. Edgar López Bertrand, thanked in a very special way the contribution that CDS provides.

In addition, CDS thanked Pastor David Borja for the selfless help, who during the quarantine always came to the main headquarters to deliver lunches to the young rescuers. There was also a donation of houses from TABER for the volunteers.

Another person recognized was Pastor Manuel Mejía, “Uncle Meme”, who has always known the work of Comandos and what is necessary in service the church community.

CDS Affiliate Base opened in Zapotitán

15 voluntarios brindarán servicio a la población.

Comandos de Salvamento reinauguro la seccional del Cantón Zapotitán, en el Municipio de Ciudad Arce, después de haber permanecido cerrada por menos de dos meses. Today a celebration took place to inaugurate a new Comandos base in The Municipality of Ciudad Arce. 15 new volunteers were present and the base will begin to open new doors to help with the local community in their efforts to offer pre hospital care and EMS transport to surrounding  care facilities. The team was provided with an ambulance and will be helping those in poverty and of little resources.

Every year Comandos de Salvamento recognizes not only its thousands of members volunteer base, but also fellow institutions and individuals that contribute to the Comandos Mission Statement of helping the community. Our EMS responders seek to help others in a country where violence is the main meal of the day and is the norm.

Certificates were handed out to new volunteers that recently passed the Pre-Hospital Care and High Angke Rescue Workshops.  They are now formal members of Comandos de Salvamento.  Film makers, journalists, supportive business companies were also given formal recognition and honors.

Recognized for Heroic Efforts at Tres Torres Fire

The El Salvador Treasury department recognized Comandos de Salvamento for their heroic acts during the fire a few weeks ago at Tres Torres that cost the lives of two people. Comandos, Red Cross, National Firefighters, Salvadoran Air force and the National Civilian Police Dept. collaborated in the rescue operation.

Mauricio Ramírez Landaverde, minister of justice and public security, along with the general director of the National Civilian Police, Howard Cotto, led the cermony of recognition. “These were the first to respond and rescue many lives along with the Salvadoran Airforce who offered technical experise during this emergency,” stated Landaverde.

The Treasury dept affirmed the sacrifice, work and dedication of these rescue groups in order to save lives. Landaverde also stated, “this country has been through alot over the years and crime organizations have presented as a serious threat and by only united can we overcome this adversity.”
