Comandos de Salvamento reinauguro la seccional del Cantón Zapotitán, en el Municipio de Ciudad Arce, después de haber permanecido cerrada por menos de dos meses. Today a celebration took place to inaugurate a new Comandos base in The Municipality of Ciudad Arce. 15 new volunteers were present and the base will begin to open new doors to help with the local community in their efforts to offer pre hospital care and EMS transport to surrounding care facilities. The team was provided with an ambulance and will be helping those in poverty and of little resources.
Every year Comandos de Salvamento recognizes not only its thousands of members volunteer base, but also fellow institutions and individuals that contribute to the Comandos Mission Statement of helping the community. Our EMS responders seek to help others in a country where violence is the main meal of the day and is the norm.
Certificates were handed out to new volunteers that recently passed the Pre-Hospital Care and High Angke Rescue Workshops. They are now formal members of Comandos de Salvamento. Film makers, journalists, supportive business companies were also given formal recognition and honors.
Comandos de Salvamento again participated in the government sponsored good life festival this year with President Salvador Sánchez outside the old presidential house in the neighborhood of Barrio San Jacinto. Comandos were present to show first aid equipment, promote nursing and pharmacy educational services and also offer free family health consults.
Hundreds of volunteers from the Comandos stood vigilant and prepared at most cemeteries while family members placed flowers and paid respect to their past loved ones
Comandos de Salvamento attended to various people that suffered hypertension and other common first aid presentations.
Colors and children’s happy faces started the student parade that entered the Jorge “Mágico” González stadium that started the 196 year of Salvadoran independence. CDS offeres security throughout the stadium and had ambulances on scene.
Comandos and the FAS, Salvadoran Airforce, again collaborated on a simulated rescue mission within the stadium grounds.
