CDS and military personnel carry supplies and water for flood refugees and survivors in San Emigdio and San Miguel Tepezontes.  These are small villages that have remained cut off from communication and by land in the central part of Cuscatlán.  The meals and water were donated by a private corporation.  The Salvadoran Government has declared a state of “Calamity and Disaster” due the flooding rains that happened this last weekend.

CDS y Fuerza Aerea Salvadoreño

Search and Recovery efforts: CDS work on the roof of a flooded home in the town of Verapaz searching for the bodies of victims from flooding this last weekend.  According to the Salvadoran Government, there have been 140 confirmed deaths and 60 missing and disappeared. The Comandos will continue search and recovery efforts under permission from governmental authorities.
