Agostinas in Wa. State

Salvadorans of North Central Washington celebrated the Fiestas Agostinas with a celebration of their customs, food, and a disco dance in the city of Wenatchee. The event was sponsored by the Central Washington Valley museum and, “Enlazando Culturas”, a group of various Central Americans living in Central Washington.

Representatives from the Seattle Committee of Salvadorans came to support and make connections with other Salvadorans throughout the state. They also assisted Central Americans that were renewing their TPS, Temporary Protected Status paperwork.  Comandos de Salvamento were also present;  not rescuing anyone-but presenting their work of over 50 years to attendees. The Comandos mission was received well by many Salvadorans that have been in the USA for more than 30 years.
