20 yo Victor Carcamo was caught off guard when rushing water envelpoed the Arenal River located at 12th Avenue South and Blvd. Venezuela in San Salvador. Victor stated he survived by treading water at least a km and was about to drown when a switft river rescue team from Comandos de Salvamento saved his life. The patient was treated for hypothermia and transported to the walk-in clinic of Comandos in order to suture some minor lacerations.
